This policy explains how Tesify collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website and our application. Because the data controller is established in the European Union, we apply the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679). In addition, if you are in the United Kingdom, the processing of your data is governed by the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, overseen by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
1. Data we collect
We collect your account details (name and email address), the content you create on the platform, and technical usage data (browser, device, pages visited). You are the author and the owner of the content you produce.
2. What we use your data for
- Providing and improving the academic writing service;
- Authenticating your account and keeping it secure;
- Sending you service updates and answering your support requests;
- Meeting our legal obligations.
We do not use your dissertation or your documents to train artificial intelligence models.
3. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share information only with the infrastructure providers needed to operate the service, and where the law requires it.
4. Your rights
You can access, rectify, export or erase your data, and request portability, restriction of processing or the withdrawal of your consent, under the GDPR. If you are in the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 give you the same rights, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). 5. Retention and security
We keep your data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described, and we apply technical and organisational measures to protect it.
